Lipo 360 is a comprehensive body contouring procedure that targets multiple areas around the torso, including the abdomen, waist, flanks (love handles), and back. The primary goal of Lipo 360 is to provide comprehensive fat removal for a smoother, more sculpted silhouette from all angles. This procedure typically involves removing excess fat deposits to improve overall body contours and proportions. Additionally, lipo can be performed on the medial thighs, lateral thighs, arms (brachial), upper back (bra rolls), and under the chin.
Hi-Def Liposculpture is a specialized form of liposuction focused on precisely sculpting and defining specific areas of the body to create a more athletic and toned appearance. Hi-Def Liposculpture goes beyond traditional liposuction techniques to enhance muscle definition and highlight natural contours. This procedure is often used to create a more sculpted and athletic appearance in areas such as the abdomen, chest, arms, thighs, and buttocks.
While both Lipo 360 and Hi-Def Liposculpture aim to improve body contours and enhance overall appearance, Hi-Def Liposculpture is typically more focused on achieving a highly defined and toned physique. This may involve accentuating muscle definition, creating a more athletic appearance, and achieving a toned look.
If no other major procedure is done at the same time (e.g., abdominoplasty), up to 4 liters of fat can be removed at one time safely.
When more than 4 liters of fat are removed, patients appear to have a higher chance of developing cardiac dysfunction due to electrolyte imbalance. Patient safety is of critical importance to Dr. Desrosiers and our team.

Following Lipo 360 or Hi-Def Liposculture, Dr. Desrosiers will provide you with detailed instructions and support throughout your recovery process. This includes guidance on post-procedure lipo massage, compression garments, and lipo foam to optimize your results and promote a smooth recovery.
Following any liposuction procedure, it is often recommended to undergo a series of at least 12 sessions of lymphatic massage, commonly referred to as lipo massage. These specialized massages are gentle and specifically targeted to promote lymphatic drainage, which plays an important role in reducing postoperative swelling and preventing the formation of irregularities (sometimes called fibrosis) in the treated areas. By facilitating lymphatic circulation, these massages contribute to optimal healing and enhance the overall outcomes of the procedure.
Compression garments are an integral component of the postoperative care protocol almost always recommended by Dr. Desrosiers following Lipo 360 or Hi-Def Liposculture. These garments serve multiple purposes in the recovery process. First, compression garments provide essential support to the treated areas, aiding in the stabilization of tissues and minimizing the risk of postoperative complications. Additionally, they play a crucial role in reducing swelling by applying gentle pressure to the treated areas, which helps to facilitate fluid drainage and promote tissue healing. Moreover, compression garments promote skin retraction, helping ensure that the skin conforms smoothly to the newly contoured body shape. By offering consistent and controlled compression, these garments contribute to shaping the body’s contours and optimizing the overall aesthetic results of the procedure.
Lipo foam pads are typically made of soft, flexible foam material that conforms to the contours of the body. These pads are placed directly over the surgical sites, usually underneath compression garments, to ensure consistent pressure and support. By distributing pressure evenly across the treated areas, lipo foam helps to minimize swelling, prevent fluid buildup, and promote tissue adherence.
One of the key benefits of lipo foam is its ability to create a smooth and even surface over the treated areas. This helps to reduce the risk of irregularities or indentations in the skin during the healing process. Additionally, lipo foam pads provide cushioning and protection, reducing discomfort and irritation caused by compression garments and other postoperative dressings.
